The Goddard GLOBE Partnership provides additional resources to schools and teachers involved in GLOBE within our region. We offer program support to get GLOBE implemented into school curriculum's, webinars to provide additional training, answers to specific problems virtually or when possible through in-school support. We also offer a GLOBE equipment loan program for schools just starting in the program or students involved in continuing research.
We also partner with other organizations and institutions to offer specialized GLOBE training. The Goddard GLOBE partnership has provided training to U.S. embassy staff as part of their training before moving to their overseas post. We've worked with the Peace Corps a number of times to provide training to their staffs as the also move to their overseas posts.
From GLOBE's beginning we have worked very closely with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on countless projects and training sessions. They continue to be a valued and close partner to the NASA Goddard GLOBE Partnership and aided us in working with groups such as 4-H, Girl Scouts and Washington / Baltimore historically black colleges and universities (HBCU's).
Our most recent venture was working with the Chesepeake Bay Foundation to offer a series of GLOBE training / meeting sessions in conjunction with the Millersville University Continuing Education Office and Lifelong Learners (age 60+) group. These session proved to be extremely beneficial and a fun opportunity for all those involved. We hope to continue this project in the fall of this year.
