Nature Notes, developed at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI), are scientific observations of environmental phenomena and grounded in background knowledge. Each Nature Note is written and peer-reviewed by students and promote literacy and inquiry. Join Catherine Bursk, GMRI, to learn about Nature Notes and discuss connections with GLOBE protocols and activities.

Watercooler: Local GLOBE Student Research Symposia
Based on the GLOBE Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS), YLACES supported local SRS events offer students additional opportunities to communicate science, often closer to home and at a lower cost per student. Eleanor Jaffee, Insights Evaluation LLC, will share what they have learned from evaluation of local SRS events so far and YLACES will provide information about grant funding available to support a local SRS in your community.
