This module covers systems and models, their associated vocabulary, diagraming systems, and why models are useful tools for understanding systems. Fourth Annual Student Research Symposia a Success
At the 2019 Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS), 261 students presented a total of 107 GLOBE research projects to their peers and local scientists. Students also experienced keynotes, tours, and hands-on science activities, while teachers participated in professional development sessions.  >>

2019 Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Student Research Symposium Highlights
The Northeast/Mid-Atlantic U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium (SRS) took place on 31 May through 01 June 2019. The event was hosted by the Boston University Mission Earth Team at Boston University, Boston,Massachusetts. Seventy-nine students and 20 GLOBE teachers attended, with the students presenting a total of 38 GLOBE research projects in a poster presentation session. Student projects were reviewed both by their peers and by local scientists.  >>

2019 Northwest Student Research Symposium Highlights
The Northwest Regional Student Research Symposium took place on 02-04 May. The event was hosted by GLOBE Partner Dr. Blakely Tsurusaki at Beach Camp at Sunset Bay in Edmonds, Washington. Ten students and five GLOBE teachers from Alaska, Montana, and Washington attended. Student projects were reviewed by their peers, local scientists, and ten GLOBE partners and scientists who joined virtually through Zoom.  >>

2019 Pacific Student Research Symposium Highlights
Congratulations to the 71 Students and 13 GLOBE teachers presenting research projects at the 2019 Pacific U.S. GLOBE Student Research Symposium (SRS). Student projects were reviewed by their peers and by scientists from NASA Jet Propulsion Lab, NASA Ames, WestEd, and Chabot Space and Science Center. The event also included networking, keynotes, and exploration of the natural marine ecosystem.  >>
