Thale Noi is a valuable and important wetland area of Phatthalung Province, both in terms of food production sources, source of maintaining ecological balance, biodiversity conservation area, source of income for people's occupations, and water transportation sources. Due to the fact that Thale Noi is an area that receives water from various water sources in Phatthalung Province, the water that flows into the Thale Noi area will have various aquatic weeds mixed in, such as Salvinia cucullata Roxb. ex Bory, Salvinia molesta D. S. Mitchel, Hanguana malayana, Eichornia crassipes (Mart.) Solms., etc. These weeds make water sources shallow in some places, original aquatic plants disappear, aquatic animals have no place to live, and other types of plants replace them. Some types are quite difficult to get rid of and must use machinery for storage. During bird nesting season, machinery cannot be used to store weeds because it is an area under the responsibility of the Thale Noi Wildlife Non-Hunting Area. This causes these weeds to spread quickly. It greatly affects the ecosystem of the Thale Noi area. The purpose of this study was 1) to study the types of weeds and the percentage of weeds in the study area. 2) to study the quality of water and the types of macroinvertebrates in Thale Noi Wetland, Phatthalung Province 3) to study the relationship between weeds that affect water quality in Thale Noi Wetland, Phatthalung Province 4) to study the relationship between weeds that affect the habitat quality of macroinvertebrates in Thale Noi Wetland, Phatthalung Province. The study area is divided into five areas: 1) Khlong Bon 2) Dong Bua 3) Khlong Nang Riam 4) Koh Loi and 5) Khlong Yuan. The type and percentage of weeds were studied, as were the measurements of water transparency, temperature, oxygen, pH, and macroinvertebrate species, using the GLOBE method for measurement. The results of the study found that 1) Weed species are physically and chemically related to water quality. Areas where many types of weeds are found It was found that the results of physical water quality measurement were lower than in areas where there was only one type of weed or in areas where there were no weeds. Considering the results of the study, the quantity of weeds has an inverse relationship with the physical and chemical quality of the water. 2) The amount of weeds is inversely related to the quality of biological water, using aquatic macroinvertebrates as a biological indicator. It was found that Area 5, Khlong Yuan, had Salvinia molesta D. S. Mitchel in the amount of 92.50% but no macroinvertebrates were found. The Koh Loi area is a brackish water area. Therefore, no weeds or macroinvertebrates were found. In other areas, macroinvertebrates such as water striders, shrimp, orange-winged dragonflies, blue-winged dragonflies, green-blue winged dragonflies, stink bug, lechoneras indicus, water beetles, lady beetles, winkles, periwinkles, water scorpions, etc.
