What the main research directions of us is map the distribution of groundwater wells containing natural gas in Wuyuan with the longitude and latitude in Google Earth. Next, we researched the difference between the groundwater in Wuyuan and the water in normal drainages. The conclusions of research results indicated that the pH and the water temperature of groundwater are higher than that of normal drainages.

Very interesting to know the objective of your work came from your observation.

Did you ask anyone why the pH in the groundwater is slightly alkaline?
We speculate that there are two reasons for the slight alkalinity of the water. The first is that the algae in the water affect the pH, and the second is the material in the water.
In the algae part, we observed that the pH outside the pond was higher than the pH of the outlet by 0.1 to 0.2. This may be because the photosynthetic algae in the outer pond consumed the carbon dioxide in the water, resulting in an increase in pH.
As for the material part, we do not have a chemical analyzer. We can only search the literature and may contain metal ions such as sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium dissolved in water.
Very interesting project!

I'm curious if your team knows more about the source of the water in the channel at site C and if so how this might inform your interpretations.

We tried to walk up the canal, but we can't keep track of it after the channel goes deep down the bridge. What we can determine is that Site C and Site A are not connected.
