Students investigate one or more trees through observation and measurement. Students estimate the height of trees, measure the height of trees (by pencil, GLOBE Observer app), measure the circumference of the tree and crown width. Students calculate the age of tree and connect the measurements taken with cycles in nature. They compare results across groups and synthesize findings into a visual poster.
