GLOBE Educators in Oman's Al Dhahirah Governate Visit an Organic Farm
As part of the plan for The GLOBE Program in Al Dhahirah
Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, participants aspire to enrich
the knowledge and skill aspects of the GLOBE Educators. One way of
doing this was to visit the organic farm belonging to Oman's Nakheel
Development Company.
During the visit, educators learned about a sustainable method
for palm cultivation, using modern irrigation technology and renewable
energy. This is in addition to converting the byproducts of
agricultural operations and processing them into valuable products
that can be reused.
Through this visit, educators using The GLOBE Program in Al Dhahirah also sought to find partnerships with various entities to support student environmental research.
