GLOBE NENA Region Holds Regional Conference for Officials, Students, and Teachers
The GLOBE Near East and North Africa (NENA) Regional Conference was held from 2-8 February 2024 in Jordan. In attendance were Thikra Al-Harrasia (Supervisor of The GLOBE Program in the South Batinah Governorate, Oman), Salma (Regional Director), Dr. Tony Murphy (GLOBE Implementation Office, Director for Community Engagement and Program Strategy), and the American Ambassador to Jodan. A number of government officials, as well as teachers and students, were also present.
The conference included training and practical application of GLOBE Protocols with an explanation of the method of data entry on the GLOBE website. The conference also included methods of writing scientific research, doing special activities and learning new skills. The closing day was full of words of thanks from Murphy and Salma. Certificates of participation were distributed to those in attendance.
