The GLOBE Team at Oman's Asmaa Bint Amis School Celebrates Earth Day

The GLOBE team at Asmaa Bint Amis School (Oman) participated with the world in celebrating Earth Day by implementing the following activities:

1. The students learned about this year’s Earth Day slogan and provided advice urging the preservation of the planet Earth through the school radio.
2. Student Rinas Al-Farsi designed a card containing instructions and advice on how to protect the planet Earth, which was sent to parents via the WhatsApp application.
3. Implementation of an event (Earth Day Café) during which an invitation was sent to the teaching staff to attend a session where advice and guidance were provided to teachers on how to protect planet Earth. GLOBE students explained the devices used to collect data and the method of entering it into The GLOBE Program's app, GLOBE Observer and how scientists benefit from their data by monitoring changes occurring in the climate, thus protecting the planet from any dangers that threaten it.
