2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting (Virtual) Call for Presentations – Deadline Extended to 01 May
Presentation applications are now being accepted for the 2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting, which will take place, virtually, from 25-28 July. The theme of the meeting this year is "Communicating GLOBE in Changing Times.” The deadline has been extended to 01 May (no late or incomplete applications will be accepted). All presenters are required to be registered for the meeting. Registration for the 2022 Annual Meeting will be available starting in late April.
The GLOBE Implementation Office (GIO) is especially encouraging members who have not presented at an Annual Meeting before and Early Career members to present. Share your experiences, while educating your fellow GLOBE peers!
Before submitting an application, please visit the 2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting community sessions page here and read the information about the different sessions and session types! (Note: Students will be presenting their research separately; only 2022 International Virtual Science Symposium selected students will be at the meeting this year. Please do not submit a presentation for students. For more information on the 2022 IVSS, click here.)
Community Presentation Types:

- Presentation: 25 minutes (interactive elements strongly suggested).
- Panel (2-3 presenters): 25 minutes
- ***Special Session presentations: 07 minutes. See “Special Session” below for more information.
Only presentations that directly relate to the following sessions will be considered:
- Session 1: Building a Stronger GLOBE Community. (This session will examine what communication strategies are used by GLOBE members to connect and collaborate and build a stronger community.)
- Session 2: Communicating Science in Changing Times. (This session focuses on how community members communicate science to various audiences.)
- Session 3: Connecting Diverse Audiences in GLOBE and Beyond. (This session examines how members connect with each other and with groups outside of GLOBE in research and/or behavior change.)
- ***Special Session: Collaboration within the GLOBE Community. (During the past few GLOBE annual meetings, country coordinators and U.S. partners have been developing ideas for cross-collaboration, and identifying resources to support collaborative activities. This session will broaden the presenters and participants and focus on highlighting key elements of successful collaboration activities undertaken by members of the GLOBE community, and identifying specific activities underpinning success.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Given the nature of the GLOBE community, DEI will be woven throughout the meeting as a critical component of communication. GLOBE has been focusing on its role as a conduit for STEM equity and inclusion for several years. All presenters will be asked to think about, and incorporate, DEI as related to the diversity within GLOBE and beyond for their presentations.
