NENA Regional Meeting from 15 -16 November 2023
The 2023 Near East and North Africa (NENA) annual regional meeting is currently underway and occurring virtually this year. From 15-16 November, the NENA Regional Coordination Office in Jordan is engaging participants from 11 countries in the online interactive experience.
Day One includes opening remarks by:
- Salma Al-Zoubi, GLOBE NENA Region Coordination Office
- Dr. Amy Chen, Program Manager, GLOBE Program Office, NASA; and
- Dr. Tony Murphy, Director of Community Engagement and Program Strategy
In addition, participants will hear about website updates from David Overoye, Data Information Systems (DIS), Axient Corporation.
Day Two includes reports on future plans for GLOBE in the individual countries in the region from Country Coordinators; capacity building in the region by the NENA Region Coordination Office; and brainstorming sessions. A short update on the follow up capacity building workshop planned for early next year will be given.
Open discussions of relevant regional topics will occur on both days.
