GLOBE Learning Expedition (GLE) Organizing Committee

The Organizing Committee for the 2014 GLOBE Learning Exhibition (GLE) has been selected, with representatives from all GLOBE regions. Committee members will begin meeting regularly to develop many aspects of this event including the theme of the 2014 GLE and the research presentation strands. Many thanks in advance to the members of the committee, whose work in the coming months is sure to result in an exciting event for the entire GLOBE Community.

New Data Entry System Coming to the GLOBE Website

In early February 2014, a new Data Entry System will be coming to the GLOBE website. The new system contains an updated look and feel and includes features developed in response to requests by members of the GLOBE Community. Read more›

Surface Temperature Field Campaign

Results of the month-long December 2013 Surface Temperature Field Campaign are now in. View the list of participating GLOBE schools and the results of the campaign here. Thanks to Dr. Kevin Czajkowski for his efforts in organizing the campaign and to the students who participated.

Partner Awards

Mrs. Sharifa Mousa, GLOBE Country Coordinator for the United Arab Emirates, was presented an award by UAE Minister of Education Mohammed Al-Qutami for her special work in the science field in 2013, including The GLOBE Program.

Dr. Farid Hamdan of the Israeli Ministry of Education and Country Coordinator for the GLOBE Program in Israel, received the Rotary Club of Israel's Award for Tolerance in ceremony on 20 December 2013. Dr. Hamdan received the award for facilitating collaboration among students of all Israeli ethnic groups—Jewish, Muslim, Bedouin, Druze and Christian—to gather Earth science data.  Read more›

The United States Environmental Protection Agency's Environmental Education (EE) Grants Program is seeking grant proposals from eligible applicants to support environmental education projects that promote environmental stewardship and help develop knowledgeable and responsible students, teachers, and citizens.
