Through her work with the GLOBE Program's former principal investigating scientist for soil characterization, Dr. Elissa Levine, Trakhtenberg helped develop the protocols and training methodology for the GLOBE Program's soil science protocols. She has trained the soils protocols at over seventy workshops both in the USA and internationally. Most recently, she trained soil protocols to partners at the last two GLOBE Program Annual Meetings.
