I'm at the Leysin American School in Switzerland, at about 1,300 meters in elevation. After a dry early winter, we now have a meter of snow on the ground. Are you interested in measurements from under a snowpack, or do we need to wait until the snow melts away in spring?

Thanks,

John,

Direct quote from a SMAP scientist. "Do not take measurements from 1) underneath a snowpack or 2) frozen ground. Wait until the snow melts away in spring."
