Regional 2022 U.S. Student Research Symposia Cancelled – Proposals for Local, In-Person Events Being Accepted

A sign that reads "Safety First"

The U.S. GLOBE Regional Student Research Symposia (SRS) give students and educators an opportunity to share the results of their GLOBE scientific research projects, get feedback from knowledgeable reviewers, engage in peer review, and participate in experiential learning activities. After a discussion with the sponsors regarding the current state of COVID-19, and looking through the feedback from teachers who normally attend the events, the U.S. GLOBE Office has made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person regional 2022 SRS.

The U.S. GLOBE Office will be supporting in-person events. The U.S. GLOBE Office, with support from NASA (Grant No. 80NSSC18K0135) and YLACES (Youth Learning as Citizen Environmental Scientists), is accepting proposals of no more than two pages for local, in-person, one-day SRS.
