The PACE Clouds Challenge Launches Today!
Scientists working on NASA's PACE satellite mission are asking for your help to collect Clouds observations when the PACE satellite is passing over your location.
From 15 September to 15 October, participate in the PACE Clouds Challenge by turning on the PACE overpass notifications in your app and taking your Clouds observations within 5 minutes of the PACE overpass.
If you submit observations during the optimal observation window and complete that observation with all six photos, you will receive a certificate of recognition. For each observation aligned with PACE, you will also receive an email from NASA with images from the PACE satellite matching your observation.

Learn how to accurately estimate cloud cover percentage, record observations within the critical 5-minute PACE overpass window using the GLOBE Observer app, and review the matched satellite imagery NASA will send back to you.

Tips and Tricks for the Challenge
Set PACE flyover notifications in your app.
Watch this video to learn how. You will be alerted 15-minutes before the flyover time. Set yourself an alarm with enough time to be outside and start your observation within 5 minutes of the PACE satellite passing overhead.
