The new school year with the GLOBE Program in Israel
On November 4, 2021, a conference was held to begin the activities of the GLOBE Program for the coming school year. More than 100 participants joined the event - teachers, school principals, supervisors and principals from the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environmental Protection, representatives from the United States Embassy, and representatives from the GLOBE Program Europe and Eurasia.

2021 Virtual Meeting of the Europe and Eurasia GLOBE Community
The spirit of collaboration and friendship was expressed continuously during the 2021 Europe and Eurasia GLOBE community virtual meeting. Altogether, 240 participants attended the sessions in the week of 04-08 October, representing twenty-nine countries from the region.

The Best Videos and StoryMaps of the GLOBE Water Bodies Challenge
GLOBE Students celebrated water by creating beautiful videos and StoryMaps online. The goal was to show the diversity and the significance of the water resources for the local communities. See the most wonderful rivers, lakes, springs and seashores around Europe!

First GLOBE Online Training for Teachers in North Macedonia, Croatia and Slovenia
In celebration of Earth Day on 22 April ,and to mark the official restart of the implementation of The GLOBE Program, 159 participants from North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, and Montenegro joined together on an online GLOBE training course.. Aiming to help newly joining teachers and acquainting the experienced once with the new protocols, the trainers from North Macedonia organized the training activities together with their trainer colleagues from Croatia, as well as the GLOBE coordination office for Europe and Eurasia.

RIVERS IN SPRING, WORLD WATER DAY 2021 IN MANTOVA (ITALY)
The virtual Rivers in Spring, the event that since 2001, every year on a day around March 22, celebrates World Water Day, generally attracts 3000 and more people to the shores of the Mantua Lakes, including students, children, teachers and citizens involved in scientific laboratories on water and the environment, in artistic, theatrical, musical performances, etc., on excursions on foot, by bike, by motorboat and canoe, etc.

An Accessible MICROPLASTICS MONITORING Protocol
A/Prof. Alessandra Sutti and Environmental Engineer Stuart Robottom of Deakin University in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, in collaboration with Labter-CRea Mantova, Globe Italy, Associazione GLOBE Italia and SCIENCEGROUND have created a video concerning the Protocol for the Monitoring of Microplastics in Surface Waters, such as seas, lakes, rivers, and canals.
