U.S. Teachers: What is a U.S. Student Research Symposium? Watch this Video and Find Out!
U.S. Teachers: What is the 2018 United States Student Research Symposia (SRS)? Why should you bring your students to one? Is it the same as a Science Fair? Watch this two-minute video and learn more about the SRS. Or read this flyer, which explains it all!
At the SRS, students from across the United States have the opportunity to come together at one of six face-to-face regional symposia to share the results of field investigations using GLOBE program protocols. Specifically, during the SRS, students will share ideas with professional scientists; learn from each other; receive feedback on their research; and explore STEM careers.
As in previous years, the SRS are open to all U.S. GLOBE students and teachers. For the 2018 calendar, click here.
SRS Webinar: “Writing Conclusions” will be held on Wednesday, 24 January at 7:00 p.m. ET. How can your students make sense of all those data sheets once you get them back to the classroom? Join Dr. David Bydlowski, the Midwest SRS Lead, to discuss writing conclusions, see student examples, and ask your questions. Register in advance here. (After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.)
