GLOBE India Science Festival
Coming up in a few weeks is the GLOBE Science Festival in New Delhi, India. From 29–31 October 2012, students, teachers, scientists and research scholars from India, Nepal, Thailand and the United States will come together to share their GLOBE research projects, activities and achievements.
The theme of the Festival -- Don't just read about Science... Do Science!-- encourages students to formulate their research questions and use their data to explore.
The event includes:
- An exhibition of GLOBE Earth Science Projects and Posters;
- Student presentations;
- Field demonstrations;
- Visits to biodiversity-richy areas and a zoological park; and
- Training on preparation of GLOBE instruments and data collection for use in student research projects.
Scientists, research scholars, academicians, students and teachers from India, Nepal, Thailand and the United States will share their GLOBE research projects, activities and achievements. The venue is Vishwa Yukav Kendra in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. A delegation of high school students from Texas has created a Facebook page that they will be using to post updates during the event.
