There were so many interesting things going on in the GLOBE Program in the year 2018. We are grateful for being part of them together with all of you and we want to thank you for your great involvement and contributions.

And what is coming in the GLOBE program in the next six months?
The Campaign will continue with spring budburst and green up observations, international collaboration and much more. Newly, you can earn virtual badges and get them displayed on your school profile.
What can you do?
Register for participation in the campaign by February 15th!
Participate in intensive observation periods. Every participant will receive a Virtual Tree Height IOP Badge! The First Intensive Student Observation Period of 2019 will run by the end of January.
The GLOBE International Virtual Science Symposium (IVSS) is a way for primary through undergraduate students from all GLOBE countries to showcase the results of their hard work by sharing their research projects. Now it's time for your students to show the world what they've learned!
What can you do?
Submit your student project - Top four projects will win a prize of $2,000 to help offset the costs of attending the 2019 GLOBE Annual Meeting in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Earth Day is a special day for The GLOBE Program because GLOBE began operations on that day in 1995. On Monday 22 April 2019, GLOBE program will celebrate it´s 24 birthdays.
Students can set up research studies at their own school such as looking at the difference between paved and unpaved areas and search for an answer to the question: "How does surface cover affect surface temperature?"
Students and teachers are invited to 2019 GLOBE Games in the Czech Republic on 30 May to 2 June. The event provides an unique opportunity to meet face-to-face and initiate inter-school collaborations all over Europe. GLOBE Games are organized by TEREZA Educational Center and hosted by Kadan High School. For details and application see the 2019 GLOBE Games announcement.
Register for the Annual Meeting and Student Research Experience with the theme Intersections of Diverse Environments that will be held in Detroit, Michigan, USA, from 14 -18 July 2019.
The team of GLOBE Estonia prepares a 3 day learning expedition for students and teachers on August 5-8. Book the date now, international participants are most welcome! Details and application will be published in March 2019.
