The GLOBE protocol-related learning activities available on this page include documents created by both GLOBE officials and members of the community. Each document has been reviewed by the GLOBE Implementation Office to ensure it meets the program’s educational and accessibility standards.

Biosphere Learning Progression Grades K-2: GLOBE Protocols Aligned with NASA Resources and NGSS Standards

Biosphere Learning Progressions for learners in grades K-2 developed for GLOBE Mission Earth to align GLOBE Biosphere Protocols, GLOBE Learning Activities and NASA resources with Next Generation Science Standards. In K-2, students learn how things people do can impact the environment. They also investigate choices that can be made to reduce these impacts. In their exploration, students develop an understanding of how different organisms (both plants and animals) have specific needs, how those needs determine the habitats in which they live, and how habitats are being affected by the choices made by humans.
