Enhancing undergraduate understanding of hydro-climatic studies in the environmental cohort using the GLOBE led inquiry-based learning approach.
Teaching practices are context specific, thus we focus this study on enhancing the inquiry-based learning (IBL) in teacher education. The South African physical science curriculum (DBE, 2011b) supports the teaching and learning of science through inquiry and learners are expected to be involved in practical investigations. However, South African preservice teachers who join universities are not confident to implement inquiry approaches ...

The Trees Around the GLOBE Student Research Campaign has found a way for campaign-participating schools, to leverage their tree height and tree-related activities to earnsome more awesome recognition. If participating campaign members are collecting tree height data or using tree-related measurements and observations from GLOBE for student-driven research projects and citizen science efforts, member schools are already well on the way to earning Tree Campus K-12 recognition for the currentschool year.
Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, the Arbor Day Foundation has a brand new ...

Public middle and high schools are generally free in the U.S and that goes a long way into helping parents save money. Although it is true, there are other costs related to public education that are exponentially increasing. These costs cater to covering the necessary costs to procure textbooks and partake in extracurricular activities.
The case of rising costs of education is worse when considering the private educational institutions around this country. Some parents prefer these schools to teach their children because of the smaller classes, which makes it easier for the ...

Chalk up yet another win for Einstein.
A twist in the fabric of spacetime is causing the orbit of one stellar corpse to teeter around another stellar corpse, researchers report. And the relativistic corkscrew is helping astronomers reconstruct the final days of these two long-dead stars.
According to general relativity, any spinning mass drags spacetime around with it, like a hand mixer in molasses. One way to see this “frame dragging” is to keep a careful eye on anything circling the spinning object on a tilted orbit — the spacetime maelstrom will make the orbit wobble, or precess. ...

Classroom education has become the primary method of early learning from preschool to college, adult continuing education and job training. Educators and trainers, as well as the students themselves, would benefit from knowing ways to engage in the classroom and improve learning to take in information faster and comprehend it more completely. People are now using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to improve learning.
The goal for teachers and students using NLP is to develop a connection between them and improve communication. If the student feels that the teacher relates to her, ...
