European Phenology Campaign New Message: Phenology observations from Lemes

Our observation
Ten pupils from Lemeshivska secondary  school participated in the European fenology company. Students watched oak, cherry and five birches.
March: average air temperature  –  2.7 ° С, maximum temperature - + 23.7 ° С, minimum temperature -  – 15.3 ° С.
April: average air temperature  –  +11.2 ° С, maximum temperature - + 29.9 ° С, minimum temperature -  + 8.5 ° С.
May: average air temperature  –  +18.2 ° С, maximum temperature - + 7.1 ° С, minimum temperature -  + 1.3 ° С.
Rainfall in March was 116,3  mm.  Rainfall in April was 7.4  mm. Rainfall in May was 67.5  mm.
Children are taking the photos of a  trees.
A cherry tree.  In March the buds slept and around March 26 they started swelling. We observed the first leaves (budburst) about at the beginning of April. This month we did the measurement 2-3 times a week. The leaves are larger than 6 cm now.
Birch trees. In March the buds slept and around March 29 they started swelling. We observed the first leaves (budburst) about at the beginning of April. The leaves are larger than 5 cm now.
Oak tree. In March and in April  the buds slept and around  April  23  they started swelling. The leaves are larger than 12 cm now.
