Se realizó el primer webinar de la campaña “Árboles dentro de LAC” 2024. Nuevos Desafíos para la Campaña en el Año del Clima y el Carbono | The first webinar of the "Trees within LAC" campaign 2024 was held, introducing new challenges for the campaign in the Year of Climate and Carbon
El 29 de febrero tuvo lugar el primer webinar de la campaña "Árboles dentro de LAC", Año 2: Año del Clima y el Carbono. Contamos con la participación de 90 personas de 11 países de la región (Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Perú, República Dominicana y Uruguay).
Durante el webinar, las líderes de la campaña, Claudia Caro (Perú), Andrea Ventoso (Uruguay) y Ana Prieto (Argentina), junto con la Coordinadora de la Oficina Regional de GLOBE LAC, Mariana Savino (Argentina), abordaron los siguientes temas:
- Resumen de la Campaña "Árboles dentro de LAC" 2023.
- Protocolos utilizados y mediciones.
- Proyectos para el IVSS 2024.
- Webinars mensuales, tutoriales e incentivos.
- Presentación de trabajos en la Reunión Regional GLOBE LAC en Panamá.
- Relación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS).
- Lanzamiento de la campaña 2024: El Año del Clima y del Carbono.
- Objetivos generales y específicos para este año.
- Protocolos que serán utilizados en la campaña.
- Resultados esperados y relación con los ODS.
- Nuevos desafíos y actividades planificadas.
Destacamos la participación especial de la docente María Marta Gutiérrez (St Lukes College, Argentina), quien compartió su experiencia en la XX Reunión Regional de GLOBE LAC en Panamá.
Además, se anunciaron los nuevos desafíos para este año, como un podcast para que los estudiantes compartan sus experiencias en GLOBE, y el lanzamiento del Concurso de Fotografía "Celebrando la conexión entre los árboles, el clima y las personas", con plazo de inscripción abierto desde el 01 de marzo hasta el 15 de abril. The first webinar of the "Trees within LAC" campaign 2024 was held, introducing new challenges for the campaign in the Year of Climate and Carbon.
On February 29th, the inaugural webinar took place, marking Year 2: the Year of Climate and Carbon. The event saw the participation of 90 individuals from 11 countries in the region (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Uruguay).
During the webinar, campaign leaders Claudia Caro (Peru), Andrea Ventoso (Uruguay), and Ana Prieto (Argentina), along with Mariana Savino (Argentina), the Coordinator of the GLOBE LAC Regional Office, addressed the following topics:
- Summary of the "Trees within LAC" Campaign 2023.
- Protocols used and measurements.
- Projects for IVSS 2024.
- Monthly webinars, tutorials, and incentives.
- Presentation of works at the GLOBE LAC Regional Meeting in Panama.
- Relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
- Launch of the 2024 campaign: The Year of Climate and Carbon.
- General and specific objectives for this year.
- Protocols to be used in the campaign.
- Expected results and relation to the SDGs.
- New challenges and planned activities.
Special mention goes to educator María Marta Gutiérrez (St Lukes College, Argentina), who shared her experience at the XX GLOBE LAC Regional Meeting in Panama.
Additionally, new challenges for this year were announced, including a podcast for students to share their experiences in GLOBE, and the launch of the Photography Contest "Celebrating the Connection between Trees, Climate, and People," open for registration from March 1st to April 15th.
