Dr. David Padgett from Tennessee State University showcases the NASA satellites which collect surface temperature data and explains how that data is collected. Now is the time to get ready to collect surface temperature and cloud observations in October. Dr. C (Dr. Czajkowski for the University of Toledo), lead scientist, explains urban heat islands and why students should study them. A brief review of the protocols are given. Kelly Reeves, one of our GME teachers from Jackman Elementary, Temperance, MI, shares some classroom tips and projects done by her students.
