GLOBE Country Coordinators: Please, join the 24 May webinar: “Environmental Science Diplomacy through Education.” This webinar will take place at 09:00 a.m. ET/New York, USA (03:00 p.m. Central European Time/Prague; 04:00 p.m. East Africa Time/Nairobi; 10:00 a.m. Argentina Standard time/Buenos Aires), and is presented by Professor Mike Jabot, Larisa Schelkin, Brian Campbell (NASA GLOBE), Dr. Rusty Low, and Peter Falcon (NASA GLOBE JPL).

During the webinar, the following topics will be discussed:

  • what environmental science diplomacy is, how it’s becoming an integrated part of the K-12 secondary education around the world;
  • how teachers are teaching not only about the UN Sustainable Development Goals, but with the UN Sustainable Development Goals;
  • what is the UN GEO-6 for Youth (Global Environmental Outlook for YOUTH – the UN Environmental Interactive Report for YOUTH) and how both SDGs and GEO-6 are integrated with the GLOBE educational activities;
  • why GLOBE is one of the global leaders in environmental science diplomacy through education, and the most recent presentation at the UN Institute for Training and Research for Global Diplomacy Fellowship Program in New York; and
  • highlights of the GLOBE activities, and meet with Brian Campbell and Peter Falcon meet with Dr. Rusty Low, Fulbright Fellow in Brazil

Participants will leave with helpful resources for the teachers in their regions.
