Student Research Symposia — Student Resources

• Present your research through a poster presentation.
• Discuss your research with both scientist reviewers and your peers.
• Talk with other students about their research and provide them with feedback.
• Have fun! SRS participants also go on tours or field trips and/or do hands-on science activities.

• Poster Templates: These are great starting places when you begin to design your poster!

  • GLOBE Poster Template PowerPoint (note: this includes the high school elements, modify as needed for middle school and primary school)

  • GLOBE Poster Template with sentence starters PowerPoint (developed by GLOBE Mission EARTH)

  • UNH Poster Templates (just replace the UNH logo with your school logo and a GLOBE logo!). Download the 36 x 48 size.

Giving a Research Presentation:

At the SRS, you will have 10 to 15 minutes to discuss your research with a scientist reviewer, with time during or after for questions. You will get the chance to talk to two or more reviewers, as well as time to discuss your research with your peers. And remember: you are the expert on your research. The scientists and other students are interested in learning from you.
