Webinar | The State of Trees – Highlighting Tree and Land Cover Across GLOBE and NASA Through Ground-based Observations and Space-based Data Comparisons
Event Time: 17:00 UTC - 18:00 UTC
Location: Virtual
Join us on 17 June at 1 pm ET (17:00 UTC; 19:00 CEST) as we
look at tree height and land cover observations from across GLOBE and
NASA and how comparing the data allows us to better understand local
to global environmental conditions and impacts. Included will be a
Trees Around the GLOBE community opportunity to observe and collect
data with the Adopt-A-Pixel 3km research framework, a STEM Enhancement
in Earth Sciences (SEES) and NASA Earth Science Education
Collaborative method of data collecting and analysis. From comparing
and analyzing student data to building a robust database of
ground-based and space-based observations to benefit students and
professional researchers around the world, this webinar will highlight
the next step in data analysis—how it makes sense in the real world.
