We finished our observations about a week and a half ago. Despite the slightly unusual weather for this time of year, the leaves on one of the marked branches of a maple tree stayed on for a while longer, but now even the last ones have fallen. This year, the trees changed their colours quite quickly and began shedding their leaves almost all at once. Interestingly, in previous years the trees showed a greater variety of colours, whereas now it is more common for the leaves to turn red or yellow directly from green, with only subtle changes in shade. Iām sharing the final data and photos.
